In contrast to the very long and overly elaborate CV list, here I will try to describe more briefly – and in reverse – some of what I have done.
2011 – 2018 I have been associated with the Intercultural Center – www.ikc.dk – where I have been project manager and curator of almost 120 intercultural projects that have been implemented in Denmark and abroad.
2007 – 2017: After a trip to Malawi in February 2007, I started the NGO “FAIR Denmark” as a sister organization for the same in Norway. FAIR Denmark is working on collecting used IT equipment for being reused in school projects in Malawi. Over the years, we have transferred over 2,500 computers, providing a total of more than 75,000 young people access to information technology and knowledge resources. www.fairdanmark.dk
1998 – 2007: Employed as head of HUSET in Vester Alle in Aarhus. During the same period I participated as a representative of HUSET in a number of projects: Restart of Kulturnat Århus, which in 2002 was closing, chairman of the association “Houses in Denmark”, where I participated in a large number of national collaborations just as I was with to restart the “European Network of Cultural Centers” in 2005. In addition, I was on the board of “Trans Europe Halles” as well as in Aarhus on the board of “IT Forum” and chair of the IT Forum’s annual big Event.
1996 – 1997: Project leader and developer of the “World Culture Festival”, where we gathered a large number of musicians and artists from all over the world to a festival that tried to mirror the intercultural reality that was and is in Aarhus.
1994-97: Employed at the Intercultural Center as head of cultural projects,
establishment of computer workshop and development of teaching methodology in collaboration with Stanford University, California.
1988-98: Annual intercultural theater productions at the “Intercultural Center”, Aarhus. Including consultancy with study trips to Lisbon and Stockholm.
1988: Initiator of the “Nordic Artist and Theater College” in Viborg and head of school in the years 1992-93.
1984-88: Theater manager at the Gellerup scene. Among many innovative and Initial activities should be highlighted:
“Circus Gellatti”, a children’s circus with 120 children from the area
institutions.
“Gong”, Turkish / Danish play.
“Theater in the Tent 1984 and -85”, international theater festivals in
cooperation with other northern European cities.
“Teater i Samfundet”, Nordic seminar on theater in social and local
connections.
“Chic Versailles”, a multimedia rock youth show.
Performances for the “Association of Social Committee Annual Meeting”
1987 and -88 in Aalborg.
“Now see grandfather dancing,” performance with and about the elderly.
“Gods Grassland”, a local game project about the last 2o years in
Gellerup.
1979-84: Initiator for Aarhus Theater Academy.
Arranging numerous courses and guest workshops with Danish and
foreign theater groups and educators from all around the world – and the following major projects:
1982: Theater for Peace – nationwide project in collaboration with theater and peace groups in 20 cities together with “Jordcirkus”, Sweden
1983: Theater in Society – a social and cultural project with 65 social and cultural workers in collaboration with three local areas in Aarhus.
81-83 Aarhus Theater Center, collaboration between theater groups and
associations in Aarhus about arranging theater guest plays.
During the same period also active in connection with start-up of
Dramatikerstudio, Aarhus, Teater Samvirket in Aarhus and active in
the Action Group for the Preservation of the Barracks Building and the Riding House.
1976-82: Initiator for and working in Aarhus Film Workshop.
1974-79: Active in the start-up of “Klubben, Rosensgade 34”, social and cultural meeting and activity place for Danes and immigrants, worked as a club educator in the period 1976-79.
1972-76: Initiator and member of the theater group “Eusebio”.
This includes collaboration with the theater group Solvognen on the projects “The Santa Claus Army” and “Rebild”.
